Electrical problems at the Kapa'a transfer station on Kaua'i are causing issues for residents looking to unload loose mixed waste.
The facility will only accept bagged trash, along with green waste, scrap metals, appliances, propane tanks and used oil and oil filters until further notice.
Officials say anyone looking to dispose of loose mixed waste during this period can take their items to the Līhu'e or Hanapēpē transfer station or the Kekaha Landfill.
