MAKE-A-WISH HAWAII in partnership with Hawai'i Equine Assisted Reflection & Therapy
Twelve year old Melodee from the Big Island dreams of meeting her favorite Disney characters, exploring the Magic Kingdom, riding down Splash Mountain, and being a princess for a day. Many keiki are fortunate enough to experience a dream come true like this at some point in their childhood.
For Melodee, going to Disney World is her dream wish as she waits patiently for her turn at a heart transplant that is vital for her survival.
On Oahu, a young and ambitious sixteen-year-old student at Leilehua High School,Mikaela "Miki" Armstrong, has taken initiative to raise the money necessary to send Melodee across an ocean and across the country to make her wish come true. As a non-profit organization, 100% of the money donated to Make-A-Wish Hawaii will go directly towards making Melodee's wish come true and sending her and her family to Disney World.
Every dollar donated can help families renew their courage and find a turning point of hope in their lives.
On Sunday, November 18,Hawai'i Equine Assisted Reflection & Therapy will be hosting - A CELEBRATION OF HOPE WITH H.E.A.R.T. to honor Melodee and all children and their families with Make-A-Wish Hawaii at Sunset Ranch on the North Shore from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
