HONOLULU – The proposed football game between Hawaii and
Temple is off.
The Owls Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw saying in a
statement on the school's website: "Temple University went above and beyond normal
scheduling procedures in an effort to provide our student-athletes with the
opportunity to play in a 12th football game this season."
"Unfortunately that will not be possible as our negotiations
with the University of Hawaii have ended. We felt that we had an
agreement in place with the University of Hawaii, but in the end its
administration was unable to fulfill it due to unforeseen circumstances"
he continued.
Hence, the Warriors will stay with a 12-game schedule. The remaining games on the slate are at Air
Force on Friday, November 16, home against UNLV on Saturday November 24, and
the season finale at home against South Alabama on Saturday, December 1.
