WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating two early morning stabbings in Waikiki.
The first one happened around midnight, but according to Emergency Medical Services officials, the 25-year-old victim did not call for help until 9 a.m. He was rushed to the hospital from the Pacific Beach Hotel.
The second one happened just before 4:30 a.m.
Police say the 29-year-old Japanese national was found lying on the sidewalk along Kuhio Avenue across from the Waikiki Trade Center.
The man was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition with a stab wound to his abdomen. His status was updated to serious as of Wednesday morning.
Officials followed a blood trail from where the man was found on Kuhio Avenue to the Pacific International Apartments along Ala Wai Boulevard. Investigators say it appears the man was stabbed inside a second floor unit there.
Police arrested a woman who lives in the apartment complex for attempted murder and robbery. 21-year-old Marsha Hoffman has since been released pending further investigation.
Police say Hoffman met the 29-year-old victim in Waikiki and the two went back to her condo. An argument ensued that ended with the man suffering a stab wound.
Hoffman was previously arrested for solicitation of prostitution.
