The new look Rainbow Warriors looked pretty good in their season opener.
Christian Standhardinger led the way inside 27 points and 7 rebounds, while Hauns Brereton bombed from the outside to the tune of 24 points (4-7 3pt FG) as Gib Arnold's team beat Maryland Eastern Shore 76-64.
Center Vander Joaquim did not start, but played 19 quality minutes as he came back from an offseason MCL tear. Joaquim scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Freshman forward Isaac Fotu had an impressive debut, grabbing 15 rebounds .
The Rainbow Warriors will next play on Sunday, when they take on Arkansas Pine Bluff.
