1. How do I find an agent?
There are many ways to find agents. On the Internet, at Open Houses, through referrals, print advertising and so on. Visiting Open Houses is a great way to meet agents. You can learn about their knowledge of the neighborhood and market statistics and see how they've prepared the open house for potential buyers. You can also find time to chat with them to see how well you connect.

2. How do I pick the right agent?

Be sure to do an interview, even if it's not formal. Find out about their experience and their work ethic. It's also wise to ask for testimonials from their last few clients to see how their clients feel about their experience with this agent. If the agent is reluctant to provide you with testimonials, they might be too busy to work with you or maybe they just haven't been doing a good job.

3. What are the most important things to look for in an agent?
Find an agent that:

1. You can trust to do what's in your best interest.

2. You can communicate easily and openly with.

3. Will be your agent so you won't be "assigned" to someone else.

4. Has the time and is willing to focus on your home buying process.
