Portuguese Man-of-War signs removed in Waikiki

Signs warning beachgoers in Waikiki of Portuguese Man-of-War were removed on Sunday, a day after an influx stings were reported.

Warning signs were posted on Saturday afternoon after higher than usual numbers of Man-of-War were reported on the beach fronting the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

Ocean Safety officials said that about a half-dozen stings had been reported by about 12:20 p.m. on Saturday.
