Hanauma Bay reopens after tsunami scare

EAST HONOLULU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Officials reopened Hanauma Bay Monday afternoon; the popular snorkeling spot has been closed since Saturday's tsunami scare.

Ocean safety reopened the bay at noon.

All other harbors, ports and beaches reopened Sunday.

Officials originally closed the bay because of dangerous surges.

The decision was made to reopen the bay after Ocean Safety did not observed any further tidal surges.
