List of Kauai evacuation centers

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for all Hawaiian islands effective as of 7:08 p.m.

Tsunami waves are expected to arrive in the island at approximately 10:28 p.m.

Anyone who does not need to evacuate should stay off the roadways. Traffic congestion is especially severe in the Kapa‘a area.

Holding areas are available at the following schools: ‘Ele‘ele; Kapa‘a Elementary; Kapa‘a Middle; Kapa‘a High; Kaua‘i High; Kîlauea Elementary; King Kaumuali‘i Elementary; Waimea High; and Wilcox Elementary.

Holding areas are able to provide temporary shelter and use of bathrooms through the duration of the warning period.
