UH agrees to terms with firm in AD search

The search for the University of Hawaii's next athletic director has taken another step forward. The UH has officially agreed to a contract that will pay Parker Executive Search, a company based out of Atlanta, $60,000 to assist in the search of its next AD.

According to the contract Parker Executive Search will receive $15,000 upon the completion of four separate phases:

Phase I: Assessment of needs, recruitment profile and establishment of timeline – target for completion of phase I: November 2, 2012

Phase II: Advertisement, recruitment and review of candidates – target for completion of phase II: November 16, 2012

Phase III: In depth vetting of finalists and facilitate interview process -  target for completion of phase III: November 30, 2012

Phase IV: Provide consultation and assistance to the search advisory committee and the Chancellor in the final selection, Negotiations and follow up – target for completion of phase IV: December 6, 2012

UH has also agree to pay an indirect expense fee calculated at 12% of the contract fee not to exceed $7,200.

Former Athletics Director Jim Donovan was put on paid leave in July following the failure of the Stevie Wonder concert. President M.R.C. Greenwood later agreed to give Donovan a communications job with UH.
