UH eWaste Recycling Program

(HawaiiNewsNow) - The fourth installment of the University of Hawai'i's biennial Education & Government eWaste Disposal Days 2012, a statewide free electronic waste (ewaste) recycling drive offering earth-friendly disposal of computers and other electronic equipment. Facilitated by UH, with site support by the State Department of Education, under sponsorship of Apple. A list of equipment that will be accepted and printable maps to the seven statewide drop off sites are available HERE!

The drop off will be open October 25th and 26th, 9:00am to 3:00pm and October 27th, 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Preregistration through the program's webpage is required for the following participants for drop off of ewaste on October 25th or 26th:

• All public and private schools and universities

• All City, County, State or Federal/Military branches in Hawai'i

• Small to medium sized businesses (of less than 100 employees)

• Non-profit organizations.

No registration required for Hawai'i household residents to drop off their personal ewaste on Saturday, October 27th.

October 25th: John A Burns School of Medicine, Leeward Community College,

University of Hawai'i at Hilo

October 26th: John A Burns School of Medicine, Leeward Community College,

University of Hawai'i at Hilo, Kaua'i Community College, UH Maui College,

Windward Community College, Kealakehe High School (Kailua-Kona)

October 27th: John A Burns School of Medicine, Leeward Community College,

University of Hawai'i at Hilo, Kaua'i Community College, UH Maui College,

Windward Community College, Kealakehe High School (Kailua-Kona)
