HPD opens attempted murder case after man stabbed

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Moanalua Road in Aiea at around 3 a.m. this morning after a stabbing occurred involving a couple.

A 58-year old man suffered multiple stab wounds to his back, chest, hands, and face. Emergency Medical Services says he was taken to Queen's Medical Center in serious but stable condition. He will be in surgery this morning.

The woman is being taken into custody and will face attempted murder charges. She acquired minor cuts to her hands and is being taken to Pali Momi Medical Center.

Police recovered the weapon used in this domestic dispute and have identified it as a kitchen knife.

The stabbing occurred at Harbor Pointe Apartments in an upper floor unit. The couple owns the property and has only lived there for three weeks.

The resident manager of the group of town homes believes a dispute broke out between the couple.

Details on what actually happened are still unknown at this time.
