Ewa Beach man charged in sex assaults of teens

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have arrested an Ewa Beach man on charges he sexually assaulted two girls.

Dewitt Long, 45, was booked on Sunday on first-degree sex assault and kidnapping charges. Police arrested Long after a 13-year-old girl claimed he sexually assaulted her in Ewa Beach.

Long was also charged for an incident in 2011 where police say he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl near the airport.

Police say Long has more than 21 prior convictions for crimes such as theft, drugs, and disorderly conduct.
