HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For the 10th week, retail gas prices in Hawaii increased, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
The Hawaii state average price paused at $4.44, three cents more than last week, four cents higher than last month and 23 cents higher than last year.
Honolulu's average price ticked up to $4.37 a gallon for regular unleaded – two cents more than last week, two cents more than last month and 29 cents higher than a year ago.
In Hilo, the average gas price is $4.43 a gallon, up two cents from last week, four cents more than last month and 10 cents more than this time last year.
Wailuku's average is $4.56 a gallon, three cents more than last week, 13 cents more than last month and 13 cents higher than last year.
"Prices here continue to reflect small increases. We urge motorists to get a fall checkup of their vehicle so it can be fuel efficient as well as perform safely on the roads and highways," said AAA Hawaii Regional Manager Diane Peterson.
