Power outage affects 1200 customers in Waipahu

A power outage is affecting 1200 customers in Waipahu this morning.

Power went out at about 4:30 a.m. by a car crash on Managers Drive that hit a utility box, resulting in traffic lights along Farrington Highway and power in parts of Waipahu to go out.

Traffic Lights along Farrington Highway were restored at around 5:30 a.m. About 100 customers along Managers Drive and Mokuloa are still in the dark.

HECO plans to have power restored to all customers by 12 p.m. today.
