What do you feel is the biggest issue facing the Hawaiian community today? And what would you do to solve it?
Protection of and access to all of our natural resources makai and mauka. Replanting resources in the ahapuaa for the use of the ahapuaa. Kokua to ahapuaa who have ocean aina to reestablish the fin fish, shell fish, invertabrets. and limu within the ahapuaa. Makau ahapuaa do the same and control their resources. OHA has been doing this on a small scale for many years. Time for Ahapuaa Councils. I would ask all the native land trusts to kokua getting the Ceded lands inventoried. Can't move until the inventory is done.
