What do you feel is the biggest issue facing the Hawaiian community today? And what would you do to solve it?
Political sovereignty, or self-governance is the biggest issue facing our Hawaiian community today.
Truly affordable housing, jobs that pay a wage to be able to live in Hawaii, and emergency financial assistance for those who would have paid their monthly obligations, but encountered an un-foreseen emergency are some of the greater needs of our Hawaiian community,
And what would you do to solve it?
I am supporting the Hawaiian Roll Commission, as a volunteer, in their efforts to register those who wish to participate in the decision-making for political sovereignty or self-governance.
I will advocate for affordable housing partnerships with state, county, federal, loan institutions, and private developers to provide truly affordable housing, affordable loan packages, and homeownership preparation, as well as programs in financial education, asset building, and emergency financial assistance.
I will advocate for programs that provide tax breaks and incentives to those businesses that pay wages competitive to the cost of living in Hawaii.
