What do you feel is the biggest issue facing the Hawaiian community today? And what would you do to solve it?
It is imperative we work to stabilize our socio-economic standings, which include a range of issues from health to home, and are used to profile the native Hawaiian community.
As a trustee, I will introduce policies that promote educational opportunities, and strive for disease and drug prevention programs with proven performance-based measures. I will work together with our community to create public and private partnerships as we must work together in order to create positive change.
By continuing to support programs that address, educate and prevent the issues that plague the native Hawaiian community, we can work to reverse these trends.
I have a passion and commitment to my community, coupled with the ability to serve them well. I wish to bring a fresh perspective to OHA's leadership and help OHA to leave behind a legacy that future generations can be proud of.
