SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN
The search will resume once the sun rises for a missing man around Kaena Point. Crews started looking for him after his wife reported him missing at 11 last night. His car was found in the Kaena Point area, but so far, no sign of him. We're told it does not appear that the man went surfing so officials aren't linking this case to the high surf. We'll be following this developing story on Sunrise.
The high surf warning remains in effect this morning. Ramsay's checking out the monster waves rolling into the North Shore. Dan says surf will be between 20-30 feet for North facing shores and 15 to 20 for shores facing West. The warning covers Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and Niihau. West and Northeast facing beaches of the Big Island could also see a bump.
KAUAI BEACH CLOSURE
Officials shut down North facing beaches of Kauai between Hanalei and Ke'e yesterday and will be checking on conditions today. No swimming was allowed and lifeguards have been standing watch.
