HONOLULU – When the UH Athletics Director search
advisory committee met on September 25th, subsequently deciding to employ
an outside firm to help in the search for a new Athletics Director, the number
of applicants was just over 60.
However, as Hawaii News Now has learned, that
number has increased by approximately 50% in only nine days. The University now has over 90 applications
for the position.
The search committee is had previously
targeted early November as a deadline for submitting final recommendations to
UH Manoa Chancellor Tom Apple.
