HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Oahu grand jury on Thursday determined there's enough evidence to send a man, suspected in the deadly beating of a Kapolei man, to trial.
The panel indicted Royce Gouveia on a charge of manslaughter in the death of Albert Meyer.
A witness said Gouveia punched Meyer hard enough that he fell back onto a Makakilo street on September 28.
The 29-year-old victim died a day later. It's not clear what they were fighting about.
Gouveia, 27, remains in custody, unable to post $250,000 bail.
