(HawaiiNewsNow) - Na Kama Kai, an organization dedicated to enhancing ocean safety and conservation awareness for Hawaiʻi's keiki, is holding its next ocean clinic on October 14 at Poka'i Bay in Waianae. The clinics are offered for keiki ages two to 17 and aimed to nurture a deep sense of love for the ocean through group and one-on-one interactions with professional surfers, watermen and women, lifeguards, firefighters, marine scientists, Hawaiian cultural practitioners and ocean rescue instructors. Participants learn Hawaiian stories related to the clinic location, help shape traditional wooden boards, and learn about traditional Hawaiian ocean culture through the contemporary perspective of ocean professionals.
