HONOLULU – The Rainbow Wahine's highly anticipated Big West
conference home opener proved to be more sizzle than substance. Dave Shoji's club made short work of UC
Irvine, earning a convincing three-set sweep, 25-18, 25-11, 25-18.
Emily Hartong and Jane Croson led the attack, with 14 kills
each, while middle blocker Jade Vorster controlled the net.
The Wahine, who improved to 11-2 overall and 4-2 in
conference, continue their homestand Saturday against Long Beach State.
