HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Times Supermarkets, Big Save and Kraft Foods in Hawaii are kicking off the 12th year of the annual Shop and Score program, which provides Hawaii high schools the chance to earn their share of $250,000 in adidas uniforms and equipment. Since the program's inception, Shop and Score has donated more than $1.25 million dollars worth of adidas uniforms and equipment to Hawaii high schools.
"We are excited to continue this partnership with Times Supermarkets and Big Save in support of Hawaii high school athletics," said Gerald Shintaku, Customer Business Manager for Kraft Foods in Hawaii "We recognize the role that sports play in helping kids attain future success, both on and off the field, and we couldn't be more pleased about how our program helps to offset shrinking and tight athletics budgets in our schools."
The Shop and Score program will run from August 29 to October 9, 2012. Shoppers of Times Supermarkets and Big Save stores on Oahu, Kauai and Maui can earn points for the participating high school of their choice simply by purchasing Kraft Foods and other participating products as labeled by the store. Schools will earn their share of $250,000 in adidas Mi-team uniforms based on the amount of participating products purchased and designated in points to their schools.
Schools can earn an additional 100 points when shoppers open an ASB Free Checking account at any American Savings Bank on Oahu, Kauai and Maui. American Savings Bank will also award $25,000 in scholarships to outstanding students.
