STEVIE WONDER BLUNDER HEARING
How did a concert fundraiser that was supposed to be good for the UH Manoa sports department end up on such a bad note? That's what the State Senate Committee on Accountability wants to determine at a special hearing today into the failed Stevie Wonder UH concert fundraiser. From University President M.R.C. Greenwood to Former Athletic Director Jim Donovan, top officials have been asked to testify. Hawaii News Now will live stream the hearing on our web site. WAIALUA WATER MAIN BREAK
A water main break is causing some problems on Kekauwa Street in Waialua. The good news is drivers can get around it because it's off to the side of the road. Of course, North Shore drivers are still dealing with the closure of Karsten Thot Bridge. We'll check out the traffic hotspots every 10 minutes on Sunrise.
Five people are waiting to be rescued on Maui after extreme river conditions left them stranded on the Commando Trail in Kailua. Crews were unable to reach the party last night because of darkness and treacherous conditions. The hikers remain in communication with the rescuers by cell phone. Ramsay Wharton is following this developing story and will have the latest on Sunrise.

The Blue Angels come roaring back to Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe today. They're the star attractions at this weekend's Kaneohe Bay Air Show.
