It's already starting. The bridge back ups we saw yesterday are already happening this morning. More police are on hand in Wahiawa to help with the traffic jams caused by the closure of Karsten Thot Bridge. All vehicles are being re-routed to Wilikina Drive and Kamananui Road. We'll have team coverage on Sunrise with Ramsay live monitoring traffic in and out of the North Shore and Danielle Tucker's updates from the City and County Traffic Management Center.
ALA MOANA ROAD WORK
Here's another traffic alert for drivers. Construction on Ala Moana Boulevard continues between Smith Street and Kalakaua Avenue. Crews are paving, installing streetlights and repairing sidewalks overnight from 7pm to 5 am through Friday. We have more details on HawaiiNewsNow.com.
Beware of extra noise near Schofield Barracks or the Honolulu International Airport today. At Schofield, the Army will be conducting a field artillery exercise from 8am to 3-m. At the airport, the Department of Transportation is closing one of the runways so expect to see and hear more planes over downtown Honolulu and above the Ewa plains through tomorrow.
