KAHULUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Drivers on the Valley Isle can expect major delays for the next six weeks.

Starting Tuesday, semi-trucks will carry large wind turbine parts for the Auwahi Wind Project site.

The trucks will transport 56 oversized loads from Kahului Harbor to Makena, then to the project site in Ulupalakua.

Work will take place Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
