HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
HONOLULU – The Warriors beat Lamar, but lost one of their
starting defensive tackles for the season in the process.
Head Coach Norm Chow's exact words at his press conference
were that "he's probably done for the year", but the resignation in his voice
and demeanor suggested the sophomore from Ewa Beach will not be back after
suffering a serious knee injury in the second quarter.
Moving forward, the Warriors will insert different players
into the DT rotation, but the coach stated that he could go with a three-man
rotation, as opposed to the four-man rotation the team was using in its first
two games.
"We have people, but obviously we're not going to be as
sturdy as we would with Moses in there.
Haku (Correa) and Geordon (Hanohano) will have the first crack at it."
The Warriors host Nevada at Aloha Stadium Saturday at 4:30pm. It will be the program's first conference
game as a member of the Mountain West Conference.
