Rainbow Wahine Lose Second Straight

CHENEY, Washington (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team lost its second straight road match with a 2-1 loss to Eastern Washington Sunday.

The loss drops UH to 5-3-2.

Christy Watanabe scored the Bows only goal in the 84th minute off an assist by Chelsea Miyake.

It was Watanabe's second goal in the last three matches, however, it was too-little, too-late for the Rainbow Wahine who dropped its third road match this season and are now just 2-15 in its last 17 matches on the mainland.

The Rainbow Wahine next return home to host its annual Alumnae Match on Sunday, Sept. 23. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
