Arakawa earns all Cape Cod honors

HYANNIS, Mass. (HawaiiAthletics) – University of Hawai'i Rainbow pitcher Jarrett Arakawa earned a spot on the prestigious Cape Cod Post-Season All-League Team. Arakawa, who is entering his junior season, played with the Orleans Firebirds.
Arakawa started seven games for Orleans, who advanced to the Eastern Division Championship before falling to Yarmouth-Dennis. Arakawa was among the league leaders with a 1.82 ERA, allowing only seven earned runs on the season while walking just two batters and posting 28 strikeouts.
Phil Ervin (Harwich) was named league Most Valuable Player and top pitcher honors went to Sean Manaea (Hyannis).
Arakawa went 7-6 last season for the Rainbows and his 2.88 ERA was tops among UH starters. The 'Bows will begin the 2013 this February, with the complete schedule to be announced at a future date.
