MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Maui Fire Department says a Jeep with five occupants rolled over onto its roof and down an embankment near Old Maui High School Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Holomua Road. According to officials, the front end of the vehicle was pinned up against several large boulders.
The five occupants managed to extricate themselves from the Jeep, but three of them did sustain injuries.
Emergency crews the victims to the Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.
Officials say an 18-year-old male suffered chest and shoulder injuries, a 20-year-old male sustained a fractured arm and lacerations, and a 19-year-old male suffered arm and back injuries.
Officials say none of the passengers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.
The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.
