KANEOHE (HawaiiNewsNow) - The cash reward to find the hit-and-run driver who killed a mother of three has been increased to up to $5,000.

The family of Lany Salva is offering the reward.

Salva, of Kaneohe, was struck in August -- possibly by a gold SUV -- in a crosswalk on Kamehameha Highway near Pahia Road.

"We should not be doing any kind of rewards or going through reporters to try and get to you," Salva's sister-in-law Wenny Cabreros said. "Instead, you should be coming to us and turning yourself in for your kindness."

CrimeStoppers is also offering a reward for information.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
