SEATTLE, WA -

The task for Washington will be tough enough Saturday night when the team faces number three LSU in Tiger Stadium. The loss of two starters will make that task even more difficult.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian announced yesterday that running back Jesse Callier will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against San Diego State.

Added to Callier's injury is the loss of starting right tackle Ben Riva, who will be lost indefinitely with a fractured forearm.

Sophomore Bishop Sankey will replace Callier at running back. Against San Diego State, Sankey carried the ball 22 times for 66 yards.

"We're going to find out more about Bishop Sankey in a hurry," Sarkisian said. "He got quite a few carries the other night and he responded well. I wish I would have blocked a little better for him I think in turn I wish he would have shown a little more patience running the ball but I think that will come in time getting the experience there."

With the injury of right tackle Ben Riva, the Huskies will be more vulnerable to the talented LSU front four.

Sarkisian said, "I don't want to say any of their names because I can't remember all of them but I know their numbers. It's 9 and 18 and 77 and 90 and 99 and 89 and 49 and they are good. That's no secret."
