HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An adult male from Honolulu was listed in serious condition late Friday night after the motorcycle he was driving was hit from behind by a car.
According to police, the victim was driving his motorcycle in the south-bound direction of the Likelike Highway just past Alu Street at around 11:10 p.m. when he was struck from behind by a vehicle being driven by an adult male with a Honolulu address.
After the collision, the driver of the car reportedly continued heading south, eventually turning onto Kam IV Road. Witnesses of the collision followed the man until he pulled over onto a side street, where police located and arrested him.
The motorcycle driver was taken by ambulance to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
Police say they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
