WAIMEA (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Kauai Island Utility Cooperative says four of its poles fell down in Waimea town Friday morning.According to KIUC, one of the fallen poles hit a vehicle and injured the male driver.
At this time, the extent of his injuries are unknown, but witnesses say it appears to be minor. He is currently being treated at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.KIUC repair crews have shut off power to residents and businesses in the area.
