HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two individuals will be honored for providing outstanding service in the fight against child abuse and neglect in Hawaii at a special Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii (PCAH) event. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, PCAH will recognize two exemplary members of the community: Vince Barfield, Senior Executive Vice President of Bank of Hawaii and former Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii board President; and Shirley Yuen, award-winning author and supporter of PCAH's Never Shake a Keiki program.
The event is September 14th, 2012 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm at Willows Restaurant. The evening will also feature 30's and 40's music from the Shriners Potentate's Band, festive food and drink stations, raffles, casino games and a silent auction that will feature a new car donated by event sponsor Cutter Chevrolet. Tickets are $85 per person with a portion of the evening's proceeds to benefit PCAH's educational outreach programs.
