A power outage in the Moiliili area forced the University of Hawaii to cancel some of its evening classes on Monday.
The outage was reported at about 4 p.m. and affected 13 buildings including Hawaii Hall, Saunders Hall, Crawford Hall, Queen Liliʻuokalani Center for Student Services, Hemenway Hall, Campus Center, Dean Hall, George Hall, Shidler College of Business and Miller Hall, according to a University of Hawaii email.
The outage was due to an underground cable problem.
HECO says the outage affected around 1400 customers.
Power was restored around 6 p.m.
