HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Thousands put on their walking shoes to support the Hawaii Foodbank Saturday morning.
It was all for the organization's 8th annual Hunger Walk.
All proceeds raised from the event go to non-profit groups that help feed thousands of people.
Last year's walk raised more than $100,000 for Hawaii families.
"It kind of puts action into words where I get to actually do something physical that shows my support for the foodbank, rather than just talking or giving money, it's actually a physical representation of my support", said supporter Sam Apuna.
