HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Gym Class Heroes concert, which was to take place tonight at The Republik, has been canceled. Under advisement from doctors, the band will not be playing due to illness.

Refunds are available at the location show-goers originally bought tickets. Those who bought tickets online should automatically see the refund show up in their account within three to five days.

Bamp Project has apologized for the inconvenience, and to make up for it they say drinks are on them. For tonight only, the lounge inside The Republik, the Safehouse, is offering one free beer or well cocktail when you show your Gym Class Heroes ticket.

No information has been released on when or if the concert will be rescheduled. Bamp Project says that the band hopes to make it up to their fans soon.

Here is the official statement from the drummer of Gym Class Heroes regarding the cancellation of tonight's Honolulu concert.

After making our way across Asia - our brief stop in Hawaii has been...interesting. Trav has been in a hospital here for 2 days - we're not really sure what's wrong with him, but we do know that he's very sick. We've had to cancel tonights show in Honolulu - and we're not sure what this means for the other shows we have coming up this weekend either. Apologies to our audience in Hawaii - especially those who've traveled, hustled, begged, borrowed, and stole to come watch us perform. Since 2004, we've been relentlessly touring - because we love making music and we're fortunate to have seemingly cultivated a demand for it throughout the world. Exhaustion, fatigue, sickness, etc. was bound to catch up to us eventually. Support is a large part of recovery, I think - please send words of encouragement to @TravieMcCoy.
