Goodwill Goes Glam!

(HawaiiNewsNow) - A public awareness event week from August 23-26, 2012 at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. The goal of this special event week is to highlight Goodwill Industries of Hawaii's community impact and non-profit mission: to help people with employment barriers to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient. The Goodwill GLAM! Sale will demonstrate how Goodwill provides value to shoppers as a resource for name brands, luxury items and unique vintage finds at affordable prices. Proceeds generated from donated items support Goodwill's educational, job training and job placement programs.

There will be more 20,000 square feet of retail space and over 50,000 items to choose from including women's and men's clothing and accessories. We'll even have selections of name brand children's clothing available. These items are the best of the best from our retail stores plus new items donated from our Ambassador Business Program; partners from retail stores in Hawaii.

In addition to being a bargain resource, this event will highlight our Donate Movement and demonstrate how Goodwill helps to keep 13 million pounds out of Hawaii's landfills. At the heart of Goodwill are those we serve and this event will shine a spotlight on our educational, job training and job placement programs.
