Man arrested for assaulting MMA fighter on Hawaii flight

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Sherrif's Department arrested a man aboard a go! Airlines flight after he allegedly assaulted another man who happened to be a mixed martial arts fighter.

State officials say the incident happened Sunday at Honolulu airport.

The Hilo bound flight was still at the gate when the two men got into an argument.

Officials say the suspect who has been identified as Brandon Kealoha punched the victim multiple times.

Kealoha was arraigned in court today and is at OCCC on $500 bail.

Officials would not release the name of the MMA fighter.
