MAALAEA, Maui (HawaiiNewsNow)- The body of a missing fisherman was found early Saturday morning at Maalaea Boat Harbor on Maui.
Maui police and fire crews were called to the harbor around 3:45 a.m.
The wife of the victim reported that her husband, Gary Y. Ibara, left their home Friday night at about 7:30 to pick sea cucumbers off the seawall. The 57-year-old was scheduled to return two hours later.
After not hearing from her husband, she went to the harbor and found his gear near the wall's edge.
Fire crews found Ibara's body floating face down about 200 yards away from the break wall near the beach area.
Investigators aren't suspecting foul play.
