KAUMANA, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow)- Hawaii county fire crews responded to a two-story structure fire Friday night.
The blaze broke out at a residence on Manaolana Street shortly after 7:15 and was under control 45 minutes later.
Officials say when firefighters arrived, about 60% of the home was involved in the fire and flames were spreading from the garage to the main residence. However, crews were able to stop the fire from advancing into the house.
HFD says one person was injured, but the extent of the injury is unknown.
Damages are estimated at $250,000 and the cause is under investigation.
