HANA, Hawaii (AP) - A deal has been signed to buy a rural East Maui ranch.
Bio-Logical Capital LLC announced Wednesday it has agreed to buy 4,500-acre Hana Ranch for an undisclosed price. It has been listed for $55 million.
The Maui News reports the ranch's landholdings include more than 3,800 acres that meanders through Hana town and another 667 acres of coastal land.
Bio-Logical says it will preserve and expand cattle ranching. The company also wants to pursue other sustainable ways to generate revenue.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the company plans to continue the ranch's production of all-grass-fed cattle.
