KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking the public's assistance in locating the driver of the SUV that may have been involved in a fatal Kaneohe hit-and-run.

Investigators want to speak with the driver of a gold colored SUV that was in the area at the time of the collision.

On August 7 around 9:30 p.m., Lany Salva, 38, was crossing Kamehameha Highway south of Pahia Road in a marked crosswalk, when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. Police say there may be damage to the front end of the vehicle last seen heading towards Windward Mall.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on your cellular phone.
