(HawaiiNewsNow) - Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Hot Club of Hulaville and world-famous gypsy jazz band the John Jorgenson Quintet play three concerts in a two-day gypsy jazz extravaganza with carnival entertainment, palm reading and crêpes from Le Crêpe Café. John Jorgenson is a founding member of the Desert Rose Band and the Hellecasters, and a six-year member of Elton John's band. He played Django Reinhardt in the 2004 Charlize Theron film Head in the Clouds.
Aug 17 at 7:30pm: The John Jorgenson Quintet with the Hot Club of Hulaville; $45, $40 museum members; crêpes will be available for purchase 6-7:30pm.
Aug 18 at 4pm: The Hot Club of Hulaville; $35, $30 museum members; includes entry to post-concert carnival
Aug 18 6-7:30pm: Gypsy Jazz Carnival: enjoy entertainment, and crêpes, wine and beer for purchase in the Luce Courtyard before the 7:30pm show.
Aug 18 at 7:30pm: The John Jorgenson Quintet;- $45, $40 museum members; includes entry to pre-concert carnival
The event is at the Honolulu Museum of Art Doris Duke Theatre at 900 South Beretania Street.
