HONOLULU (AP) - U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa has won the Democratic nomination in her quest for re-election to the seat serving urban Honolulu's 1st Congressional District.

Hanabusa was expected to win as an incumbent in a race against just one other Democrat, Roy Wyttenbach II. She won Saturday's primary with 84% of the vote with 83% of precincts reporting.

The 61-year-old Hanabusa will likely face Republican Charles Djou. She defeated him in the November 2010 general election by 6%age points.

Hanabusa spent 12 years in the Hawaii State Senate.
