Kamehameha Schools Alumni hold 5th Relay for Life

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Kamehameha Schools Alumni will hold its 5th Relay for Life at its Kapâlama campus' Kônia Field on Saturday, August 18th from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.. Geraldine Johansen, Hero of Hope and Mission Chair and Bran-Dee Torres, Class of '93 Team Captain say the event offers the KS alumni community an opportunity to not only honor and remember those that have been affected by cancer, but it also provides a chance to save lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts, and life-affirming patient services. This year, an anonymous company has stepped forward and pledged $50 for every $10 registrant who signs up. Also attending will be American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Chief Staff Officer, Steve Zamzow.
