Last night was a wonderful night under the stars; the last Ke Kani O Ke Kai Summer Series Concert at the Waikiki Aquarium until next summer with Grammy Award Winner Dennis Kamakahi and Hawaii Recording Artist Makana. They were both on the Decendants Movie Soundtrack; Dennis mentioned he will be back in the studios before the end of the year for Pixar for an unnamed animated project
Free Concert tonight featuring Makana at Kailua District Park from 6:00-8:30pm in Kailua sponsored by the Kailua Chamber of Commerce. Makana says itʻs the "other" side of his music. Heʻs playing keyboards, playing electric guitar.
Tonight and tomorrow it will be a celebration of the life, memories and music of John Koko; member of the Makaha Sons who left us to be with Kupuna in July; Public viewing from 5-9 p.m. tonight and tomorrow from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Mililani Mauka Mortuary.
This Saturday lots of people will be enjoying the Hawaiian Music in Waimanalo with the Gabby Pahinui Waimanalo Kanikapila from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. There will be food booths, arts and crafts, Hawaiian exhibits; music for sale, T-shirts, lomilomi and more.
