HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's the world's first gourmet coffee cereal. Cappuccino Crunch is in studio this morning to show off his idea for an entirely new food. Mike Abrams is a Maui-based chemist who specializes in food flavors -- especially coffee.
Cappuccino Crunch uses real 100% Arabica coffee and infuse it into toasted rice cereal. It's very low in sugar, fat and calories. There is a Kona coffee version with strong connections to the Big Island. Several flavors include cappuccino, mocha and chai.
On Oahu, you can pick it up at the Lion Coffee café -- with all the flavors available in about two weeks. The coffee-cereal company also has farms on Maui and Molokai.
